Justice Tarot Card Meaning

Justice Tarot Card Meaning

Justice is the twelfth card of the Major Arcana and represents our search for truth on this journey. She embodies our ability to be honest with ourselves and those around us, and our ability to look at situations fairly and without judgement. She teaches us that by welcoming honesty and fairness into our lives, we welcome balance and harmony also. She is Justice because she knows that karma is always watching closely and is always prepared to hand you what you deserve - whether good or bad. She is aware that honesty is the best policy and likes to practice what she preaches. She is here to remind us there are always consequences to our actions and to be wary of how we deal with the situations that we may face.

Justice is numbered 11 and it's numerological value is two. Two is the number of purpose. It’s where the hard work starts. This is where choices must be made to move forward. The choices that you make are make or break at this point in your journey, so choose wisely. Tap into your intuition and let it be your guide. Let it lead your way to success.

Upright Keywords

  • Sincerity, harmony, justice, fairness, truth, law, honour, equilibrium

 Upright Meanings

The Justice card speaks for itself, it is a card of karma and justice. Have you recently been backed into a corner where you must accept full responsibility for your actions and their consequences? Our past actions determine our future outcome and every action we take must come under scrutiny at some point in our lives. Everything has worked out exactly as it was meant to, whether it be good or bad. Your actions will be judged accordingly and the best outcome will be reached in order to ensure that you get what you deserve. Everything that we do in life will have long-term consequences and will affect our future circumstances, so be careful about the choices you make. Don’t rush into anything, be sure to think everything through thoroughly before going ahead with it.

Justice could also indicate a need for truth. Are you currently looking for the truth in a particular situation? In your search for this truth, you must be fair with everyone you come across and judge everyone accordingly, only then will you truly find it.  You must approach this with an objective point of view, as there is a fine line between fact and rumour. Remember that only one will give you the answers that you seek. Only listen to the facts, don’t pay any attention to anything else.

Justice could also suggest that you will soon be asked to make an important decision. This decision will require a lot of thought and will take up a lot of your time. Remain patient while making this decision as rushing it could end in disaster. You must be completely objective and you must also take a lot of things into consideration at this time in order to ensure the best outcome, not only for you but for those around you.

Reversed Keywords

  • Disequilibrium, injustice, separation, dishonesty, unfairness, difficulty

Reversed Meanings

Justice in a reversed position could suggest that you are unhappy with a certain aspect in your life, but instead of accepting it, you’re lying to yourself and possibly those around you. You’re unwilling to accept your true feelings and are now blind to the fact that your denial is causing you to be possibly missing out on new opportunities and beginnings in your life. You are refusing to face the consequences of your actions and are instead ignoring them, in the hope that they might go away, you might even be trying to pass them off as someone else’s responsibility. Take responsibility for your actions. Face those consequences and simply own it. Our actions right now will determine our future possibilities, so if you don’t take responsibility now it will only come back to bite you in the end.

Justice in reversed form could also simply suggest that you are currently being too hard on yourself. Stop judging yourself so harshly! We all make mistakes and we all feel as if we could have done a little better sometimes, it’s human nature, but we just have to get on with our lives. There’s no use looking back and working yourself up about a past situation because there is absolutely nothing that you can do to change it now. Start living in the moment and enjoy who you are and how far you’ve come. We’re all trying to understand our place on this earth and the world would be an easier place to live in if we could all stop judging ourselves and each other.
