Resources To Help You Make The Best Of 2018

It's 2018, the year of change and personal development! What better resource do you need than a good self-help book? They're inspiring, helpful and almost always an amazing read! The right book could be the difference between achieving your personal goals this year and giving up on them. There is such a variety of self-help resources out there today that you most certainly will find one for your needs and goals! From relationships, business, health and fitness, lifestyle, mental health and so much more, you will find the answers and motivation that you seek!

Self-help books have certainly been on a rise the past few years and are set to get a whole lot more popular over the coming years. The world is much more open to changing their lifestyle through learning and trying new things and taking on new ideas, and in return, people are much more open to sharing their ideas or their experiences. More self-help writers = more self-help books!

One of my goals this year is to read more and to get through my self-help reading list -  there are so many books on this list I don't even know where to start!

I wanted to share with you a list of my favourite self-help books to help, inspire or kick your ass into gear this year! Let's grow together!

This is my go-to book whenever I need a bit of motivation or a reminder that I am in control of my own life. This book talks about the law of attraction and is the perfect book if you have big goals and are looking to change your life around this year. The Secret is all about the ability to manifest your dreams into reality through your thought process and reminds you that you can control your life through a positive mentality. If you feel as if your life is on a downward spiral or you need a kick up the ass, this is the book for you! Get it here.

I freakin' love this book, it's my absolute favourite. Are you a people pleaser? Do you constantly worry what others think? Do you need to learn how to say no? Sarah Knight is an absolutely hilarious writer who is straight to the point and, frankly, doesn't really care what others think. The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving A F**k is a parody of 'The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up' by Marie Kondo, but instead of tidying up your surroundings, you will be tidying up your mental clutter and prioritising your everyday commitments. If you're up for a laugh and a change in your lifestyle, then this book is certainly for you! Get it here.

I think we can all relate to the title of this book now and again! After reading 'The Life Changing Magic Of Not Giving A F**k', I needed more Sarah Knight wisdom in my life! Her straight talking attitude, hilarious ways with words and profanity is just what I need in my life! Much like her first book, Get Your Sh*t Together is all about mental de-cluttering and prioritisation in order to get your life together. We all need this book at least once in our lives! If you need to get you sh*t together this year, then this book is for you! If you can, get it now! Get it here.

If you're looking for inspiration and empowerment this year, this book is everything that you need. Big Magic is crammed full of unique wisdom, inspirational insights and one-of-a-kind perspectives on life. This book asks us to embrace our creativity and to look deep within ourselves to uncover the secrets hidden within our very souls! This is by far my favourite spiritual book; it's so soulful and beautiful! I recommend reading this at least once in your life! Get it here.

We now live in a world where imperfection is seen as a flaw, and that's scary seeing as there is no such thing as perfection... so this book is less of a self-help book and more of a revelation. If you're a self-confessed perfectionist - like me - you may find this book a major help! The premise of this book is pretty self explanatory, it's all about knowing your imperfections and embracing them by knowing that you are worth it. This book gave me the confidence that I needed to know that there is nothing that I need to change about myself in order to be 'perfect'. Get it here.

This title just reels you in, doesn't it? After reading her book 'The Gifts Of Imperfection', I went on a mission to find more books written by this amazing writer (this was actually published before The Gifts Of Imperfection but I'm not one for order). I Thought It Was Just Me brings awareness to the world of shaming that we currently live in. This book doesn't promise to rid your life of shame or people who make you feel that way but what it does promise to help you come to terms with your vulnerabilities and own them. This is such an inspiring book with a powerful message to everyone, and much like 'The Gift Of Imperfection', I believe that everyone should read it at least once. Get it here.
